Its history is deeply linked to the French one and especially, the history of the region Languedoc, rich in elements and that began with the Roman occupation.<\/p>\r\n<p>In the time of Louis XIV, the Ch\u00e2teau de Paraza used to be the dwelling of the French engineer Paul Riquet during the construction of the canal connecting the Mediterranean Sea to the Atlantic Ocean then called Canal du Roy.<\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;70px&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;392&#8243; img_size=&#8221;medium&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_rounded&#8221;][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;3\/4&#8243;][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;History of the estate&#8221; font_container=&#8221;tag:h2|font_size:26|text_align:left&#8221; google_fonts=&#8221;font_family:Raleway%3A100%2C200%2C300%2Cregular%2C500%2C600%2C700%2C800%2C900|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p>Before being transformed as a winery, the Ch\u00e2teau de Paraza used to be the home of several activities such as the oil culture, the cereal one or the farming of huge ovine herds.
